Costa Rica Backpackers Hostel is in a great location near tons of interesting and fun things to do. We are located between the National Theatre of Costa Rica and the National Museum. The National Theatre is exquisitely decorated inside and out, a gem of the coffee boom era and the most important historical building in Costa Rica. It hosts incredibly selective productions of music, theatre, and dance. The National Museum is a rich cultural institution, housing collections of art and artifacts from the Pre=Columbian and Colonial period, a section of archeological and religious history, and even an entire "Gold Room," full of golden artifacts. The butterfly garden outside delights kids and adults alike.
The hostel is also very close to some beautiful parks like the National Park and the Simon Bolivar Zoo. Between our hostel and the zoo lie the Center of Art and Culture, and the National Library. We are right near many important governmental buildings like the Legislative Assembly, the Supreme Court, and several universities and further museums. Whether you turn left or right after walking out the front door, you'll find something interesting to do here in the best location, at the center of San Jose!
